On Sept. 19, the interview team of "Hometown of Confucius, Shandong China" Coverage Activity of National Famous Historical and Cultural Cities visits Badaguan Historical and Cultural Block of Qingdao with a reputation as the “Exhibition of World Architecture” and has a close look at the “previous and present life” of Badaguan.
Badaguan Histoical and Cultural Block includes two areas as Badaguan and Taiping Corner, featuring with its well-reserved traditional pattern and historical style and silent, elegant and vast scenery of garden on the sea.
Badaguan modern architecture is located in the south of Shinan District, Qingdao City and gets its name (Badaguan means eight great passes) by distributed along the roadside of eight roads named by ancient important passes. With a covered area of 145,368 square meters, it has over 300 villa buildings presenting different architectural styles of more than 20 countries. Leaning on the hills and lying next to the sea, the group of architecture makes a harmonious integration with the natural surroundings. Qingdao Badaguan modern architecture has won the reputation of “Exhibition of World Architecture” which enjoys great historical, artistic and scientific value.
