On the afternoon of July 15, 2014 the half year working conference of Shandong Airlines was held in Jinan. The conference conveyed the spirit of the half year meetings of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), China National Aviation Holding Company and Air China. Ma Chongxian, chairman and president of Shandong Airlines, delivered the group's work report and Zhang Xingfu, secretary of the Party committee of the company, made a summing-up speech. The meeting, presided over by Yu Haitian, vice secretary of the group's Party committee, also commended outstanding individuals and collectives.
At the same time, the meeting was also screened in Qingdao, Yantai, Xiamen and Chongqing branches as well as Beijing base. Senior executives, people in charge of Party and government departments of major units, deputy managers and above, and some of the captains, chief attendants and worker representatives, as well as advanced collectives and individuals attended the meeting.
In his work report, Ma Chongxian pointed out that Shandong Airlines had maintained a stable operation situation and achieved relatively ideal performance in spite of complex and serious security situation, thanks to its prudent operation and innovative management since the beginning of 2014.
He also made a profound analysis of the current situation and tasks, and put emphasis on the necessity and urgency of strengthening brand construction, breaking through bottlenecks in the market and financing concerning the serious industry security situation and changeable management situation. In the work report, Ma Chongxian required that Shandong Airlines should focus on four key points, and the basic working philosophy of the second half year was confirmed as well.
Zhang Xingfu, in his speech, first dialectically analyzed the current development situation of the civil aviation industry. Then he emphasized the problems and shortcomings in the company’s management, stressing that targeted management be enhanced and problems be dealt with systematically. He also deployed the ideological and political work of the second half year at the meeting.
The meeting required all the departments and units to further recognize the situation, take active actions, identify focus of their work, strengthen work measures and vigorously promote work implementation in order to complete all the annual targets and tasks.
